Thank you for joining the league.. I mean, not for nothing, but been working my tail off on my sheet and nobody even looks at it. The other sheet out there hasn't been updated since round 22. Thank you very much for your tracking sheet. I think it just boils down to people not double-checking a player before they post because we have several references. It's frustrating that the forum search function doesn't work properly (though this is a free forum), and I appreciate other people sharing what they've created to try to help everyone as well.

Thanks, Chris. I, too, have been using this sheet as my main reference. It's great work. I don't understand the "N/A", however. Great job, Bud Brian, and all for that matter... N/A is part of my formula have set for each cell. The players stats are linked to the "hitting' and "pitching" tab. So each time a player is selected in our draft I copy and past his name in that teams sheet. If he's appeared in one game his stats will then populated by using a vlookup. I know our league is based on projections but it's nice to see real life stats, which I'm sure projections are based on, to a point. What I then do 3-4 times a week is copy and paste updated stats from baseball reference into these 2 tab then updating all the team tabs and it's players stats. If you have a player on your team and has played a MLB game this season and see the 'N/A" or even "blanks" then let me know. I'll cope and paste his name in your page. There's so many players to track and sometimes i don't realize when a guys make his season/major league debut.

I missed 4 rounds being on vacation and couldn't keep up so I stopped. Now the sheet is 11 rounds behind 🤷♂️

With the 30th pick, the Marlins select Kevin Smith, P (Orioles) [ML] 38th round 3rd pick the Cubs select Kevin Smith SS ML It would be helpful to disambiguate between CHC's Kevin Smith and MIA's Kevin P. Smith in the draft list.

That last pick was totally walk up music driven. If you walk up to "Brass Monkey," you're White Sox material.

As far as I can tell, the shortstop Kevin Smith doesn't have a middle name listed on Baseball Reference.

I've mentioned this before, and I'm not sure who's sheet will eventually become our main sheet, but I'm 100% up to date. I created a finance tab and check it after every round to make sure it equals the right amount of players per team. We're at the 5 yard line right now and think it's important for every manager to check their team to make sure you have the correct players and term. I think once we go to two rounds a day ( for me anyway) it's important to put both positions and pick number with your pick selections. Honestly, some players I don't know well and rather not have to google what position ( pitcher or batter) they are. Takes too much time. One team sent me a message that they had the wrong player on his team but didn't mention his team name. I wish every manager would put this real name and team name for his signature. Some have it and I feel less impersonal when I say " Hey Chicago Cubs" lol. It's been a great draft. I learned a lot about minor leaguers because of it. I'll assume our draft will be kids drafted in the MLB draft coming up and international players? What about players still in organizations not selected?

Guys,
I really think we need to pump the brakes here a little. On paper it looks great 3 rounds a day but you need to keep in mind trying to process this. We've waited this long so don't think another week matters. And if you it doesn't then we should've thought about that 3 weeks ago when it took teams 3 days to make a pick with penalty. This is just to much to keep up with. Stop it here and start round 44 tomorrow. I mean, Colorado is 2 rounds behind. Let's all catch our breath here. it's the home stretch.

This is just to much to keep up with. Stop it here and start round 44 tomorrow. We're doing 2 rounds per day, not 3. I don't see any reason to pause. There are only 2 outstanding picks from the 2 previous rounds, which are solely due to the teams making invalid picks. The teams who are skipped right now have been the teams who have typically been skipped regardless of how much time they've been given. We're at a stage where it doesn't particularly matter if a team is skipped, they can post their makeup selection at any time--which is also an incentive to be active or send a list (like so many others have) if you won't be around.

I just don't think the Excel you're working on needs to be 100% updated in conjunction with the picks. It's perfectly alright if that's updated whenever possible. A new database is sent every day and people have a few tools at their disposal to help them keep track so you don't need to feel pressure to process everything simultaneously. Those invalid picks are going to happen anyways. The most important thing is that we're able to complete the draft and GMs are able to keep pace, which is what I'm seeing so far.

I know but I get anxiety when I fall behind because it takes forever to keep up I totally understand. I've been in that position for years, and I know it's time consuming. I sincerely appreciate all of your efforts and I know everyone else does too. You don't need to rush it, but I do think we need to complete the draft as soon as possible since we're having some people heading on vacation. I'll look at creating a schedule for the season, but I think we can make good progress if we simulate 2 B1G weeks each real-life week.
