It's interesting that the Yankees GM claims not to know the Guardians GM. Knowing someone in real life is not an issue in it of itself, but it is an issue if one of them isn't real and it's just one person secretly controlling two teams. Cleveland's remark about collusion prompted me to look more into the Security Log on our forum. It turns out Cleveland was right, there was some collusion that he himself was perpetrating. I discovered that they both registered and have been posting under the same IP address. Actually, there is a record of posts from each under the same two IP addresses, not just one.
One of the IP addresses is static while the other is dynamic because he apparently used a VPN to try to be sneaky and make it seem like the two accounts were separate. That doesn't work when you still use the same IP address to post under both accounts. On the back end of the forum, you can see that both accounts were registered using the same IP address and that shared activity has been happening for the past year.
I also have additional evidence because I received a random email from someone inquiring if we have any league openings. When I asked how this new person heard about the league and if they knew anyone already in the league, they said they didn't know anyone and that they saw our recruiting post on the DMB Forum. I thought that was a little questionable because we haven't posted there since the creation of the league last April. As a result, our recruitment post has been drowned out by many more recruitment posts from other leagues so you really have to look to find it on there. I asked this new person to register on the forum, and lo and behold, it's one from one of the IP addresses shared by Yankees/Guardians.
So not only has the Yankees/Guardians been controlling two teams, they were looking to add a third team under their purview (30% of the whole league). In case anyone has any questions about the screenshots, it looks like I can make people Global Moderators and grant the ability to see each person's IP address under the Members section as well as viewing the Security Log--where every change on the forum is recorded.
In my opinion, this is very cut and dry, and I don't believe this person has any place in our league. However, I'm posting this poll and the evidence to expose the dishonest tactics for everyone to see. In order to prevent further damage while this is discussed, I have temporarily disabled the accounts of the Yankees and Guardians so they do not have the ability to vote on the poll.
