I submit a new rule change:
Players cannot be claimed off the waivers between the end of the season and the subsequent FA draft.
Purpose: Teams really are not paying attention to the league during this period and a few teams are cherry picking players, especially since many owners are new to this tulebook.

There has been one waiver claim. What you are describing as an issue isn't even a thing.

Do we have a free agent draft or auction? So I'd have first pick, correct?

When the projection disk gets released there is a draft. It is to clean up players who have projections that are usable after free agency and before the signing forums open.

This seems unnecessary

I'm still willing to put it up for a vote. That would be a way to see if there's any support for this from people who just don't want to voice it for whatever reason. Personally, I don't see an issue with it since the claiming period is 72 hours after the player is released, which is also the timeframe for the league voting on whether to approve/reject a trade. It's also a little incentive to be more active on the forum--where everything happens. I don't know why, but some people just prefer email and still aren't very active on the forum.
