B1G Salaries: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1d6kWMWWNBmVKd0sCD-SRbUiK7Pvz-KI21CBxJ9YbbhQThe B1G Salaries Sheet has been updated with the 2022 salaries for players who are arbitration-eligible. GMs will have until the end of the day on Friday, January 7th, to release the players on the right side (those who are arbitration-eligible or have changing salaries) of their Excel without any financial penalty. 100% of their salary would come off your books if they are released by then. After January 7th, those players will move back over to the left side and their salaries will be official--so releasing them at that point would make you responsible for half of their 2022 salary. Teams would also need to be under the salary cap and roster limit by that point. After that deadline in the new year, we'll then begin our 2022 Amateur Draft followed by our Free Agency. In the last tab on the B1G Salaries Sheet, we are keeping a running list of players who will be put up for bid in Free Agency. This is not a final list yet. As early team projections are being released on FanGraphs, we're adding players with a worthwhile projection to that Free Agency list.

For clarification, Deitrich Enns, Mike Tauchman, and Freddy Galvis have been removed from their respective B1G teams since they've signed overseas this offseason.

Nice work. Only seen fanbase factors missing which could possibly change some decisions on who to keep or not keep.

Nice work. Only seen fanbase factors missing which could possibly change some decisions on who to keep or not keep. Thanks, I totally forgot about that. I'll get that updated today too.

B1G Salaries: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1d6kWMWWNBmVKd0sCD-SRbUiK7Pvz-KI21CBxJ9YbbhQThe B1G Salaries Sheet has been updated. The Fanbase Factors that Oakland put together were mostly correct, but a few teams were off just due to a misinterpretation--the Wild Card Winner bonus is given to the two Wild Card teams in each league (since they're technically considered in the playoffs) and we had a Game 163 (which officially counts for records in the regular season). The Excel has the corrected figures for every team as well as updated rosters with the latest releases. Remember, teams have until January 7th to release players who are under the Arbitration-Eligible and Changing Salaries sections without penalty before those players will move back over to the left side with everyone else. Fanbase Factors ARI = -1.6 ATL = -3.0 BAL = +4.0 BOS = -.9 CHC = +3.2 CHW = +2.8 CIN = +.4 CLE = -2.7 COL =-.1 DET = -.8 HOU = +1.8 KC = +1.2 LAA = +3.0 LAD = -1.3 MIA = +1.8 MIL = -2.5 MIN = +5.6 NYM = +7.0 NYY = -3.3 OAK = +13.6 PHI = -1.9 PIT = +1.4 SDP = -.2 SFG = +7.0 SEA = -.8 STL = +4.8 TB = +5.0 TEX = -1.1 TOR = +.4 WAS = +2.2

Realized I previously forgot to remove Buster Posey's [3/3] contract from Arizona after he announced his retirement. Kyle Seager's [2.5/A2/A3] has also now been removed from Washington since he's also announced his retirement.

There have been a lot of guys signing overseas (not surprising considering the uncertainty with the MLB lockout) so I'll have to go through those guys again. Just recently saw Chatwood signed overseas.

'Kaden Polcovish' should be 'Kaden Polcovich' on the Astros roster. Minor spelling error.

B1G Salaries: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1d6kWMWWNBmVKd0sCD-SRbUiK7Pvz-KI21CBxJ9YbbhQI've had a few people send me players they want to release by email--instead of posting on the forum. Just to give people a little more breathing room, I'm extending the cut deadline to the end of the day on Sunday, January 9th. GMs will have until the end of the day on Sunday, January 9th, to release the players on the right side (those who are arbitration-eligible or have changing salaries) of their Excel without any financial penalty. 100% of their salary would come off your books if they are released by then. Would it be possible to pull back on some players I released since it's the free period?

Would it be possible to pull back on some players I released since it's the free period? Unfortunately, no. While teams can release players who are Arbitration-Eligible or have Changing Salaries without any penalty during this period, we can't pull back players once they're released.

I received a few more messages from people wanting to release players so I'm going to be very nice and extend the deadline since this is the first time we're doing this. I'll give teams until Friday to release any Arbitration-Eligible or Changing Salaries players without any penalty.

We should have all projections posted on Fangraphs by end of next week. Are we waiting till the end of the Amateur Draft to start FA?

Cameron Maybin and Melky Cabrera have retired, but they were not on B1G teams. Jon Lester also retired. Shin-Soo Choo, Thyago Vieira, and Jose Marmolejos signed overseas so they won't be part of Free Agency.
Tyler Chatwood, Breyvic Valera, Matt Andriese, Kyle Keller, DJ Peters, Mike Tauchman, John Gant, Freddy Galvis, Rio Ruiz, and Socrates Brito signed overseas and are no longer on their B1G teams/rosters/salaries.
