Are we now allowed to drop players? I believe my roster is around 53 and like to release players I signed during the season for usage purposes. Also, I understand the whole message board thing but I think we've reached the point where it might be good to start getting to know people on a better level. To me, sending messages like "Hey Oakland or "Hey NYY" is kind of impersonal. If anything, start have everyone but there names in the bottom of the box. It would be nice to know you people by names and not "Hey Oakland"

It would be nice to know you people by names and not "Hey Oakland" Teams have always been allowed to release players (or claim released players within the window after they're released). You just can't sign players in the offseason because we're building towards Free Agency. In terms of getting to know GMs better, we can't force people to reveal their names. There's plenty of reasons why people would want to be cautious about their identity on the Internet, but there also seems to be a fair amount of those who don't have any issue with it.
