I was just curious if someone will be creating list for the draft and free agency or are we winging it like we did the startup draft

The first year player draft is usually anyone drafted or signed as an IFA in the last year before the draft. So you would be looking at Mayer, Leiter, etc... and whoever the big IFA are.
Free Agency a list is put together and we bid on the players in pods.

So in terms of free agents overseas, If Suzuki isn't signed before we have our draft he's not draftable, that correct? Same with international free agents?

In previous leagues a player like Suzuki is posted as a free agent and subject to bidding in free agency. This is because he has immediate value.
A player like Vlad Jr, Jorge Soler, and Wander Franco in the past are the type of IFA players who were in the draft.

Yeah but how do you put "immediate value" on any player? Because Suzuki isn't an amateur and his career in Japan will translate to a ZiPS projection with an immediate impact in the simulation. |
