He isn't committing longterm money for him, given he hasn't ever played in the MLB. It's a 1 year deal. He's paying for his services for this year in the sim and that OPS that is known. The guy could hit .200 this year in real life, and the As don't give a fuck. As long as he plays 162 games this year and is usable in the sim. Next year, he's a free agent, not costing him a dime. |
