Cubs placed C Willson Contreras on the 10-day injured list with hip tightness.
The 29-year-old was pulled from Saturday's game in the bottom of the 3rd with hip discomfort and the Cubs opted to take it easy with him during the regular-season finale. Contreras ends the season with a .237/.340/.438 slash line with 21 home runs over 413 at-bats.
