After the regular season ends, the signing forums will be closed--in preparation for the offseason. Since we just drafted franchises with cost-controlled contracts built in, Free Agency this year will probably be pretty bare. The first step in the offseason will be the Arbitration Process, and I imagine a fair amount of players might be released. Those players who go unclaimed (remember, we have no bidding on players who have been released; you would have to claim them and assume their contract) could be added to Free Agency for bidding on the open market. We could also use this thread to propose players to go up for bidding. It would need to wait until after the regular season ends otherwise those players could be signed before those forums close this year.
Post any questions about the offseason process here too. Even though the regular season is ending, there's plenty more still on the way!

The way Oakland is signing players they'll be none left. When is enough, enough? 10 players in 24 hours? Jesus! They're has to be different rules set in place to prevent teams from signing 60 players in one season. It's a joke and complete tracking nightmare, which I said 7 months ago. None of these players signed should be playoff eligible

They aren't playoff eligible. That deadline was September 1st.

I have not heard anything at all, but I'll reach out. I don't understand why there would be an issue. It's not a tracking nightmare, the B1G Salaries sheet will be updated later tonight. While I appreciate the sheet the Yankees has put together, the official tracking sheet with every team's roster and financial position is what I've been sharing. If a player isn't going to help a team long term, I don't see a reason to prevent someone from releasing them and signing someone who can help. This was just the last opportunity to do so this year before we approach the offseason. The players aren't eligible for the postseason so that's not a factor at all.

Was about to say he would be leaving behind quite the talent on a houng squad to go with all those premium draft picks.

If Seiya Suzuki is posted and comes over to MLB, he's likely to have an immediate impact type of projection so I think he should be up for bid in Free Agency.

Thyago Vieira is another player who might come from overseas.

In terms of more players to bid on in Free Agency, it sounds like Nick Martinez is coming back to MLB. We can also add any players who are released by B1G teams after arbitration figures are decided--provided they pass through unclaimed (remember, there's no bidding on players who are released).

Robert Suarez and Shin-Soo Choo might also be coming to MLB from overseas. For current MLB players, I would suggest adding Louis Head and Erik Swanson for Free Agent bidding.

Sorry for the delay, I've still been battling being sick and just exhausted from starting a new job. The B1G Salaries Sheet has been updated through the end of our inaugural season, and I'll transition it to 2022 this week--since I'll have some time off. Regarding our offseason process, the timeline that I was previously imagining was Arbitration Process > Free Agency > Amateur Draft. Since we don't have many Free Agents in this first offseason (due to the contracts awarded through our inaugural draft), what would everyone think about holding the Amateur Draft before Free Agency? That would also allow us to have a more full Free Agency with arbitration-eligible players who are released while also seeing more projections as Dan Szymborski starts posting projections team by team on FanGraphs.

Any suggestions? With the arbitration vote likely decided soon, it might make sense to target the end of December as the deadline to release players who are arbitration-eligible or have changing salaries without penalty.
