Do you happen to have any good resources for minor league injuries? Previously, I've used mlb.com and milb.com to utilize their official transactions. Minor league injuries will be a little tricky to begin since the start of their season is delayed so some injured minor league players haven't officially been made inactive yet. Big, known injuries like those recovering from Tommy John should be easier to find though so we can make them inactive--since they wouldn't be playing if there were games.

I know this will sound kind of crazy, but would DMB game injuries be better and less hassle?

I know this will sound kind of crazy, but would DMB game injuries be better and less hassle? I agree it seems much easier to manage. But since we've already started the draft this change may have a pretty significant affect on people's decisions. I'm looking at Justin Verlander lol

changing injury rules after the draft begins violates basic due process.... besides the rulebook implied MLB injured lists.

I discovered that a select few minor league players, including Luis Frias actually are listed on the fangraphs injury report

I think it would be helpful to identify a source of truth for injury data. I recommend fangraphs because their website is a breeze to scrape current and historical data in one go ( example). Here's an example of the data. [ { "index": 43, "loaddate": "2021-05-16T18:31:27", "mlbamid": 519242, "date": "2020-03-30 00:00:00.000000", "dateDisplay": null, "retrodate": "03/29/21", "eligibledate": "05/28/21", "returndate": null, "position": "SP", "team": "BOS", "injurySurgery": "Tommy John surgery", "status": "60-Day IL", "latestUpdate": "Questionable for 2021 season", "season": 2021, "playerId": "10603", "playerName": "Chris Sale", "playerNameRoute": "Chris Sale", "UID": 28438 } ]
By matching using players' names, I added the "UID" column. This is the player's Unique ID from the 2021 DMB Zips disk. At initial glance, the data appears to be temporal, so when a player is re-injured, both stints on the IL are included. Below is an example. [ { "index": 236, "loaddate": "2021-05-16T18:31:27", "mlbamid": 571666, "date": "2021-03-01 00:00:00.000000", "dateDisplay": "Mar '21", "retrodate": "03/29/21", "eligibledate": "04/08/21", "returndate": "04/26/21", "position": "SP", "team": "OAK", "injurySurgery": "Hip inflammation", "status": "Activated", "latestUpdate": "Activated", "season": 2021, "playerId": "7754", "playerName": "Mike Fiers", "playerNameRoute": "Mike Fiers", "UID": 28775 }, { "index": 245, "loaddate": "2021-05-16T18:31:27", "mlbamid": 571666, "date": "2021-05-07 00:00:00.000000", "dateDisplay": null, "retrodate": "05/08/21", "eligibledate": "05/18/21", "returndate": null, "position": "SP", "team": "OAK", "injurySurgery": "Sprained elbow", "status": "10-Day IL", "latestUpdate": "No timetable for return", "season": 2021, "playerId": "7754", "playerName": "Mike Fiers", "playerNameRoute": "Mike Fiers", "UID": 28775 } ]
If we decide to go this route, I can identify the weeks that each player would be ineligible to play in B1G and share it with the league in as a Google Doc. I'd want to iron out the correct dates to use as well. E.g. Do we start the injury on the "date" or on the "retrodate". Do we use the "eligibledate" or the "returndate" to allow a player to play in our league again. To be honest, I don't know the difference between these columns

I'll try to scrape transactions data from the MLB/MiLB websites, but it may take a bit of time to make sense of
