With July 4th coming up, I'm assuming it'll be best if we pause and skip a round on that day--though still allowing people to post picks. This move to schedule slots has really helped, but we need to discuss when/how we complete the draft. Included below is how things are scheduled out through the 45th Round, which would be on Saturday, July 10th. It would be great if we could complete those last 5 rounds quickly. Around that weekend would enable us to start our season at about the halfway point of the MLB season.
33rd Round -- June 27th 34th Round -- June 28th 35th Round -- June 29th 36th Round -- June 30th 37th Round -- July 1st 38th Round -- July 2nd 39th Round -- July 3rd 40th Round -- July 5th 41st Round -- July 6th 42nd Round -- July 7th 43rd Round -- July 8th 44th Round -- July 9th 45th Round -- July 10th

Suggestion:
After the 45th round, each team would submit a list of 5 players who have not been drafted from their MLB organization.
For example, I would submit a list of 5 undrafted players on the SF Giants major or minor league rosters. This would eliminate the need to further delay the start of the B1G league season and give each team a little more identification with their MLB franchise.

I would prefer to complete the process as a draft, but since it is picks 1350-1500 I would not be entirely opposed to opening the signing forums.
Could also jump start these later rounds by trying to schedule 2 rounds in a day from 40 on with 15 minute windows.

Two picks per round might work, too.

For some the five picks from MLB franchise is a disadvantage and I would discourage this route.

I am for signing from our major league organization. Trust me, most of whats left in any organization is probably 25th ranked prospect on down, do we really need to pore over lists for those guys...sometimes the research is SO tedious lol...I am good either way, but lets end this mercifully. If not this way, lets do 2 picks one day, 3 the next and be done.

I think 2 rounds per day is a great idea. If we pause on July 4th, then this is how we could schedule the end by next weekend.
40th Round -- July 5th 41st and 42nd Round -- July 6th 43rd and 44th Round -- July 7th 45th and 46th Round -- July 8th 47th and 48th Round -- July 9th 49th and 50th Round -- July 10th

Regarding restricting the pool to taking players from only your MLB franchise, I just don't think that's a realistic measure--in addition, many aren't necessarily a fan of the MLB franchise.

Would give us the chance to start simming and things around the ASB.

I'm game but we could barely get through 1 round, as is.

2 rounds a day sounds good to me. Should work fine with skips.

I think it's interesting looking at everyone's draft strategy

It wasn't more who was picked how guys we're picked. Some, like myself, drafted to cover position by position for balance while others went pitcher heavy or batter heavy. Some teams went all established players while others went with ML players. I just put a guy on a team that had zero ML players 37 rounds in. I love youth and might flip guys like Rendon for young players
