I doubt the rulebook covers this question. Lets say player X is on a MLB team at the start of the season. DMB delays the release of the projection season so we start the season late. Player X plays through the first half of the season before being released at the trade deadline. Team 1 wants to use the player during the time we start our season until the week he is released. Can we sign the player until our league schedule catches up till the time he is released ?? It seems like we should be able to do so .

I'm pretty sure it's in the rulebook but the answer is yes. And if Player X, is released and signs with another club on a MiLB deal, he'd be able to be used again within the same season.

Just confirming this is correct. The player is eligible to be active as long as he is active in real life. So we would go by the point we are in our B1G schedule and the player would be eligible up until that point. Zach Reks and Juan Lagares were two examples I had highlighted earlier.
