As a reminder, players who have reached the MLB experience threshold would have a contract of [0/.5/A]--not [.5/1/A1/A2/A3], which is for [ML] players on rosters who transition to that pay scale in the offseason once they reach the MLB experience threshold. Also, players who are released while the DMB Player Draft is ongoing would still go through that waiver/claim process before they could be selected in the draft.

I would not be concerned by teams not participating in this "draft" because it's essentially the same thing as opening the signing forum. Not all teams want or need to add players with a projection--especially since we have a 50-man roster limit and teams would need to make roster space if they add someone.

What time would make sense to open the Signing Players (whether they're in the database or not) forum? When we do open it up completely, I think making a team wait to sign a new player 30 minutes after signing a player would be reasonable.

This week sometime seems good. Agreed on the 30 minute wait period.

Opening the Signing Players forum on Thursday (July 21st) evening makes sense to me with a 30-minute wait time after a team signs a player before they can sign someone else. We can then start Week 1 of the regular season this weekend. Thoughts? I'll have an updated database out tonight.

I'm going to lock the DMB Player Draft in a few minutes (by 7:30 PM Central) in anticipation of the Sign Players forum opening--preventing any skipped teams from double-dipping.
