I still have not seen any update on when the 2022 ZiPS Projection Disk will be released. It's usually early to mid-April, and they usually do a bad job promoting in advance--it usually just drops out of the blue. I reached out to Dan to see if he could provide any update. He said it was a little delayed because of him and the compressed Spring schedule. It came out on April 21st last year so I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out next week.

The only further update I have on the projection disk is that Diamond Mind's website now says it will be available May 2022. Based on that previous information from Dan, I'm assuming it will be released this first week of May. Once it's released, I'll create our league database and then we'll need to have the DMB Player Draft before starting the season. I'll work on a proposed schedule for catching us up to real-life action because we ideally want to simulate daily on the same schedule as MLB.

Sorry, we're kind of at a standstill until the projection disk comes out. I have no idea what the hell is going on with Diamond Mind. I don't remember any projection disk taking this long. The last communication I saw was them saying it should be out in early May, but here we are. Once the projection disk comes out, then we can create our league disk and a schedule to get the season on track.

If Diamond Mind decides to discontinue that product, I assume we will be dead in the water.

I was thinking about maybe the 2021 disk. I know you have to be careful about things like the guy who comes up for 20 games and hits .390 but better than nothing.

I was still checking things periodically, but our hands were tied and there was just literally nothing we could do until the projection disk was released. I was getting a little concerned there because Diamond Mind has never taken this long, but Dan's response at least reassured me that it would be released at some point. I didn't really want to have to consider other options, and luckily it just came out so we can finally move forward. I'm hoping I can put our projection disk together by later tonight or tomorrow.

It took me a little longer than I would have liked, but the database has been sent. Remember to go to diamond-mind.com/products/zips-2022-projection-season to purchase the disk and you'll get an e-gift card for the same value. It's easy and you'll have the ability to have fun playing around with the 2022 MLB rosters. It's definitely not perfect though because I think there are some missing players. |

I would think we’re re doing this. I’ve talked with 3 other members and we’re ready to go. Mets put a lot of work into the DB. It’s a holiday weekend. Maybe he just needs family time/vacation and then it will role out. Willing to help if you need anything Mets?

I was trying to see if I could get any response from Diamond Mind in case there would be an update. I reached out to Dan and he said they haven't contacted him about any errors so we do have confirmation that the database is the database. With this holiday weekend coming up, I thought it made sense to wait for that confirmation since this is a time when more people are likely unavailable. We can start the DMB Player Draft this week, and I'll put together more details and also send another email reminder for people to check in on the forum.
